“Daobow” is a graphical system, conceived to represent binary code (0/1) through archetypal geometric elements. “Dao,” like an infinity of paths unfolding from the assembly of these circular arcs—“bow”—gives it its name. Originally drawn by hand with a compass, and shaped through trigonometric formulas worked out with the help of friends, the system came into being.

All my attempts to bring the system into the computer had failed. Even with the help of programmer friends, it remained mostly in my mind—until the day I decided to try the experiment with AI. After a few months of collaboration with ChatGPT and Mistral, a program finally emerged that now allows me to generate the paths of these arcs digitally.
